About
Redeem America is a religious and political blog that I use to post my current musings. I’m a born-again Christian who is not afraid to tell it like it is. I believe in (and have witnessed) miracles — so you won’t see any Calvinist/Reformed/cessationist links or posts here. Christ is alive, His Holy Spirit is working in this world just as He did in the 1st Century A.D. (see the Book of Acts).
My political views stem from a firm belief in and understanding of liberty. “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” is not just a political goal — it is a spiritual goal as well. “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:13). The Mosaic law was instituted to cover the spiritual, civic, moral, and dietary aspects of life. Within its civic laws is a high regard for private property and individual initiative. When this country was founded “of the People, by the People, and for the People” the Founders carried this high regard for individual liberty and initiative — and private property — to lengths unheard of previously.
That is what makes this country great: the power of the individual to control his or her own destiny, without undue government interference. The Constitution was created to limit government, not the individual. Our rights come from our Creator (see the Declaration of Independence), not from government. Government’s only job is to protect the life and liberty of the people, and to create a climate where business can thrive. Period.
That concept is in grave danger today, with the rise of the Progressive Left (Socialism/Communism/Marxism) and the resurgence of Islam — which has a mandate to conquer the world (don’t believe me? Read the Koran for yourself).
What we, as a country, need today is a clear grasp of Constitutional concepts, and a firm resolve to defend our great nation from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
This blog is my small part in that endeavor.
